Art photographer Scott Takeda recently added six Manhattan pieces to his online collection through Colorado art gallery Artwork Network.
"I'm expanding artistically," said Takeda laughing. "I'm still a photojournalist, so I capture images with stories. However I'm now looking for a fresher way to capture images by creating limits."
Lately, Takeda has moved away from using a wide range of zoom lenses, and has started shooting exclusively with the 50 millimeter lense.
"My photojournalism instructor hated that lense, so I grew up hating it as well. It's neither a wide-angle or a telephoto lense, so it always seemed boring to me. However lately, I've started discovering when I limit how I shoot, I force myself to be more creative. And I'm loving what I'm now capturing.
"I'm now thinking of creating a new gallery of images just focused on street photography."
Located in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe, Artwork Network blends an expansive gallery space with a robust online presence. They focus on a personal touch with patrons whether in person or online. Plus, they provide technology driven art consulting services for designers and architects looking to add unique pieces to homes and businesses.
